Well nothing really, but hang in there and you will understand. About a month ago I was bitching explaining to Glenn that the barbeque grates were rusty and the enamel was coming off . I told him I would like a new barbeque; a new shiny stainless one where the grates won’t rust. He said that the rest of the barbeque was fine and he could just build new grates out of stainless steel rods. I rolled my eyes and thought when Hell freezes over and said ‘ok, maybe you should ask Pierre about it’. He did and Pierre said just go and buy them at a barbeque store. So we went and looked but new stainless grates are $60 each and I need two of them that’s a $120! Being the cheep bugger thrifty man of mine he just couldn’t let go of that much money, so he call up <a href=”http://www.assortedmetals.com“>Assorted Metals<a> (this is what bbq’s have to do with racing, one of our great sponsors) in Calgary and asked what it would cost to buy stainless steel rod (food grade to boot) $70., he said all right I will take it and send Leslie to pick it up.
<a href=”http://www.assortedmetals.com“>Assorted Metals<a>, Calgary is a really cool place if you need a small volume of metal for a job (like bbq grates). The Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and they have everything from small cut pieces that sell by weight or great big long pieces that sell by length, and a big saw for cutting to the size you need. Very affordable thats what my cheep bugger thrifty man of mine likes.
Just a reminder that we race at RMRP on Friday gates open at 6p.m. racing at 7p.m.
